I will advocate for policies that reduce everyday costs for families, including paid family leave, lowering the cost of insurance, and protect local residents from unfair hidden fees and rising expenses.
Build a safer community
I will support community-based public safety efforts and ensure local public safety officials have the resources they need. I will also work with neighborhoods to address safety concerns before they escalate.
Protect our Democracy
I will defend the constitutional rights of every member of our community. As Chair of the Democratic Party, I passed resolutions to protect immigrant communities and increase accountability for ICE agents. I also advocated for and supported “Yes on 1,” which enshrined same-sex marriage in our State Constitution.
Support small business - keep Kaimukī Kaimukī!
I will champion policies that help small businesses thrive, reduce unnecessary expenses, and preserve the unique character of Kaimukī and our surrounding neighborhoods.
Create quality local jobs
I will promote workforce development, support local entrepreneurship and unions, and advocate for policies that attract and grow industries that provide good-paying local jobs.
Fix roads, parks, and facilities
I will work with the City and County to ensure timely maintenance of neighborhood infrastructure and invest in our local parks, gyms, and community spaces.
Invest in education and teachers
I will advocate for strong public schools, support our teachers, and ensure students have the resources they need to succeed from early education through graduation.
Stop illegal monster homes
I will enforce existing laws against illegal monster homes and close loopholes that have allowed improper development in our neighborhoods.
Address homelessness with real solutions
I will support coordinated approaches that combine housing, mental health care, and social services to help individuals transition off the streets and into stable housing.
Create Affordable Housing
I support responsible development and public investment to expand affordable housing. I am committed to strengthening rent support programs and ensuring long-term affordability protections so local families can stay in Hawaiʻi.
